REVIEWS

We recently spent a day touring around the Languedoc region with our local guide Anneke. She offers private tours of the area at a very reasonable price. We have always been intrigued by the mysteries surrounding the Rennes-le-Chateau and the Cathars, but after failing to find some of the ‘hidden’ sites in our previous trips by ourselves, we decided to hire Anneke. Anneke is professional, passionate, and one of the friendliest people you will ever meet. She was willing to accommodate our needs of visiting a long list of sites where we were eager to see, and offered other significant sites that were worth visiting. Her in-depth knowledge of the history and culture was truly meaningful, it only made us determined to come back again in the near future. Everyone at Rennes-le-Chateau knows her, which shows her presence as a qualified guide as well as caring friend. If you ever have a chance to visit the Languedoc region, we highly recommend contacting Anneke for a great experience!

Dear Anneke & Peter,
My sincere thanks for a memorable visit to your region in September. Not only did you show me the hidden sides of the Languedoc which I loved, but, you were also saved my trip by checking on my flight to France and notifying me that it had been cancelled!! You had also suggested an alternative flight but with limited seats and I was able to act on that and you then met me at Girona (Barcelona ) and with slightly adjusted tour for that day and the next, I visited all areas over my 5 day stay that I had wished and more. Nothing was ever too much trouble for you and with your friendliness, good humour and thoughtfulness I felt 'at home'. Your suggestions of what to do/see on my times not touring proved to make my stay in Quillan memorable. Our visit and my stay in Carcassonne was another pleasure and thank you once again for organizing our day and my accommodation. Anneke, your extensive knowledge of the area is incredible and you brought all our tours to life for me. Your love of what you do and the region is obvious and I highly recommend you to anyone, young, old who wish to visit.
With warm wishes and thanks again,
Andrea, Australia

Dear Anneke and Peter,
Thank you so much for your extraordinary help and dedication during our recent trip to France. I have worked in the tourism business for 20 years and I have been very impressed with your obvious concern for the needs of the clients. You ensured that everything went ahead so seamlessly. You took care of the clients as if they were members of your own family. Everyone on the trip had the highest of praise for you both. I love your social conscience, your very apparent love for what you do and the fact the you genuinely adore the places you brought us to. You brought the past to life with your stories and insights and adapted your commentaries to the interests of the group. Every single detail was anticipated and taken care of by you so no one had to wonder what was happening next. It was great fun and we all wished the journey would never end. It is great to have seen such a wonderful mix of spirituality, compassion and professionalism. From the bottom of my heart I thank you.

With kind regards,
Mark Mulvey - Tour Manager
